Gothik is dead - 12/12/06 - 4:36 AM - Bert

And he has been for a while. Hopefully you're able to read this with our new server hardware update, which is kinda why it came up late. This never happens.

Just thought we'd give you an update before we're off on holiday leave. We've spent about 10 quality hours with 4 Horsemen and plan to nail them before the expansion. The latest patch has gone well for us; if you've played us in a BG and are reading this, welcome to the site! Forums are that way.

No More Outs - 11/30/06 - 11:57 AM - Bert

Last night our road was straightened, or as the politically correct Jerry Springer guest being sect of the gay/straight/bi/lez/tranny/herm/queer/counterculture/carpet muching community would prefer it, forwarded, I guess(?), as we downed Thaddius and were left with one clear path to Kel'Thuzad. Many guildies who enjoyed the relief that came with quitting one boss and trying another, a technique with which we've gone 1 for 2 so far, are gonna try to remain in the northwest corner after the first polarity shift as we try to overcome true bottlenecking cottonpicking cockblock in the coming months.

Crypstalker Headpiece - Twentytwo, Dreadnaught Helmet - Bert, Leggings of Polarity - Amarok

So much went so beautifully on our winning attempt. It was the first glimpse of pure perfection I've seen out of 40 raid members, as absolutely no one charged anyone until the end. That's with Deadsy standing up top, of course. We had our obligatory looting deaths, then when people realized the debuff hadn't dropped, Tickler went on a murder spree.

Here's a candid of the mages enjoying 25k ignites, while at the same time Scun is donkey punching Kuai.

We flexed our raid muscle elsewhere too, having some new firsts for a lot of us, and had a ton of fun in IF over the long and naxxless Thanksgiving holidays. Expect more city raid chaos with the new patch and removal of DKs too.

Thanks to our loyal forum readers, we've learned that Thrall banged Jaina. Now so have we.

Staghelm whimpered and begged, just as his whelp of a son did 10,000 years ago.

We hit Tyrande too, but no visuals.

While he didn't really come back, we at least know he's not dead.

Yes, northwest was the initial position for positive. No, I don't think Tib is funny.

Tickler & Eekz

Make it back. Don't forget us. Hardly anyone healed as well or better or as loyally than you both.

Love Always,
Bert

Loatheb.

Yeah we agree it's pretty poorly designed but hey, rising to whatever challenge is what it's all about in MMOs. Thank god Blizzard makes it possible within a humane time span. The resulting excitement of all the world buffing, the communication with team recon on the way to Naxx, and the 15 seconds we had left before half our raid dropped dead brought us back to times like our first Rag and Nef kills. Here's our story.

<insert a bunch of learning wipes here>

First Kill Loots: Crypstalker Legguards - Twentytwo, Plagueheart Leggings - Geezie, The Eye of Nerub - Twentytwo

Kill vent.

Thank you Dura Lex Sed Lex for holding off turning in your Ony head for a few minutes. Couldn't have done it without you. To our recon team of social members and recruits who kept an eye out for alliance and Crimson Couriers.

To the EJ forums for all the advice, despite us having been months behind. To the DPS, for destroying Loatheb.

To the healers, for minimizing the number of involuntary kegle exercises I experienced during the real attempt. To each and every member of the guild who came to any raid this week, for allowing us all the time for learning.

The fun stuff..

above, in memory of epical

Short, sweet, and going afk to play FFXII.

Naxx boss parity rule delays update :( - 09/28/06 - 7:30 PM - Bert

Express update coming your way seconds after our server first Heigan. Massive amount of free time with which I find myself faced after completion or loss of something really important, thank you for letting me write this beforehand. Something else might fill that void too soon, something that comes before Gamma. Yep, that's it, sorostitutes.

Gluth has been long dead, with Yoshin getting Crypstalker Wristguards, Pwnydanza getting Dreadnaught Waistguard, Sukenabe getting Earthshatter Wristguards, Okan receiving CUM, Berticusrex and Mavv receiving Gluth's Missing Collar, and Tsuicide getting Digested Hand of Power. More like off.. HAND (thanks Tib).

Kill vent, it's always something.

But we're still on mid-tier Naxx, so we need to kill 2 bosses for our progress to be meaningful enough for an update. And today that day has come, as we went 1 for 142 on Heigan. You've seen interesting strategy drawings up and down on guild's sites, some even on our own, but I doubt you've seen too many of these. Even though it didn't enlighten us too quickly it could enable you and your guild to succeed on this, the hardest fight in Naxx.

Heigan loot was Necklace of Necropsy to Kainan and Bonescythe Waistguard to Draike.

Annoying amounts of recruiting questions keep coming in, so here's a hint: while you may think it does, the below picture doesn't mean recruiting is closed.
